FAQ
Frequently asked questions about immigration lawyers in Mérida
Do you help foreigners in Mérida and the rest of Mexico?
Yes. I work with foreigners living in Mérida and Yucatán or planning to move, and also with clients across Mexico and from other countries. All consultations are by video call.
What languages are consultations available in?
Spanish, English or French. The French consultation includes an interpreter and runs 10 minutes longer.
How much does a consultation with the immigration lawyer cost?
The Spanish or English consultation costs $1,999 MXN (1 hour). The French consultation with interpreter costs $2,599 MXN (1 hour 10 minutes). One price, everything included.
What does the consultation include?
Full review of your case, a full walkthrough of the process to follow and free rescheduling up to 24 hours before. The consultation is the analysis of your situation and a walkthrough of the process to follow; if you decide to proceed, the full application service is quoted separately, and the cost of the consultation is deducted from that service.
Can I switch from tourist to resident while in Mexico?
As a general rule, no. Visitors cannot change their immigration status from inside Mexico and must leave when their stay ends. The exceptions are few: a family tie with a Mexican national or a resident, and humanitarian reasons (Migration Law, art. 53). Let us review your case before you decide.
How do I book my appointment?
